According to the reviews I read about this unit it, some of the positive statements were from customers saying that unit has some huge bass, especially for a Bose product. They loved that it is waterproof and it definitely feels rugged. One consumer said that they are getting into a routine where they wake up in the morning and just bringing into the shower so I don't have to stop listening to my audiobook or music. The overall consensus is that this unit isn't going to blast the doors off the room, but it is plenty loud for its size as a personal device.

From some of the other reviews I read, they are saying that this speaker is the ultimate multi-functioning sound machine. It's small enough to take anywhere and produces better and bigger sound than much larger and more expensive speakers.

Some of the negative statements, though, say that it has a terrible strap mechanism and, while it can play music at a decent volume, music sounds slurred and loses both high and low notes. Someone else noted vocals sound as if the singer is suffering from a bad head-cold, and the music is muffled and dull. Another complained about how annoying it was to connect. They felt it takes forever, where they have to turn Bluetooth off and on multiple times on their phone and computer, have to "connect new" from the app all the time, and then disconnects randomly. One consumer mentioned that when it is synced to a device it will turn on automatically when that device has Bluetooth on. The means that when synced to their computer, it would turns on at many inconvenient moments.
